Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa Wows Guests

The centrally located Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa offers a luxury escape for visitors looking to experience Honolulu on the island of Oahu.

Located on the grounds of Hawaiian royalty, this was once the site of their historic summer homes. The resort honors its past by creating a multitude of indoor and outdoor spaces for guests to “gather in joy and hospitality” in keeping with the Queen’s philosophy of Hawaiian hospitality.

The recent $80 million dollar renovation of the resort includes a spectacular one-acre pool deck, above Waikiki Beach offering 180-views of the ocean. It’s one of the largest entertainment decks on the island, with two heated swimming pools and jetted hot whirlpools. One pool is ideal for families, while the other is designated for guests 18+ years old.

The 1,310 refreshed guest rooms and suites, each have a private balcony and Marriott’s Revive Bedding Collection. The cool blue tones and white ship lap-painted wood walls create a casual luxe classic Hawaiian home feel.

Luxurious suites include junior suites with panoramic city and ocean views to expansive penthouse suites. Floor to ceiling glass doors lead out to an inviting outdoor sitting area to take in the excitement of Waikiki Beach below.

The tone changes in the evening as soon as the Hawaiian fire dancer performs his ceremonial sunset show, and guests gather at the two firepit areas and elevated terrace to watch the sun dip into the Pacific Ocean.

Happy Hour is twice a day at Queensbreak Waikiki, voted 2022 Best New Restaurant and New Outdoor Dining by Honolulu Magazines. It’s first come, first serve from 1 to 2 p.m., and 5 to 6 p.m.

Hidden high above Waikiki Beach is the open-air dining concept Queensbreak, named in honor of Queen Liliuokalani. Live entertainment every evening begins at 5:30 p.m., as diners enjoy an al fresco menu that includes mushroom flatbread, local caught grilled fish, Wagyu burger, and Huli Huli chicken.

Other dining options at the resort include Kuhio Beach Grill, d.k Steak House, Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar, and Arancino di Mare. There are two Starbucks, one in the Kealohilani Tower and the other in the Paoakalani Tower.

Resort activities include Paint Escape in the Mohala Garden, and Barre, Hula and Lei making on the Queensbreak Lawn. Learn how to make the perfect mai tai cocktail or shaved ice, and watch a Hawaiian-style fire show on the Paoakalani Pool. In the evening, the resort offers ‘Dive in Movie’ on the Queensbreak Lawn.

Located across from a protected rock breakwater, there is a calm swimming beach across from one of the most desirable hotels along Waikiki Beach.
