Every October, Terranea Resort lights up its main entrance in a stunning shade of rosy pink to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, the luxury oceanfront resort is celebrating its 9th year of offering blush colored cocktails and a variety of enrichment activities for its guests. The proceeds from these initiatives will benefit Play for P.I.N.K and Cancer Support Community South Bay.
Ralph Grippo, the president of Terranea Resort, expresses his support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month through their “Terranea Turns Pink” initiatives, while also acknowledging the impact women have had on the hospitality industry.
Nature plays a role in the pink theme as well, with the sunsets in Southern California becoming even more breathtaking during October. Guests can enjoy the stunning view of the sun setting into the Pacific Ocean from one of the resort’s dining venues or outdoor bar lounges.
During the month of October, guests can indulge in the signature “Florecita” pink cocktail, available at the Lobby and all dining destinations. $1 from each purchase will go towards supporting breast cancer. This delightful drink is made with Tanteo Blanco Tequila, Rishi Lavender Mint Tea, cranberry, peach, lemon, and lavender bitters. Served in a rounded goblet with ice, the cocktail is garnished with delicate and beautifully colored edible flowers.
The Links at Terranea, an oceanview par-3 golf course, is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by placing pink flags on each hole. On October 1, there will be a scenic golf round sponsored by City of Hope South Bay and Providence Little Company. Participants can enjoy delicious food and drinks, a silent auction, and on-course contests. The entry fee for this special event is $500 for groups of four, with proceeds going to Cancer Support Community South Bay.
For those seeking wellness and restorative therapy, the Spa at Terranea offers a serene oasis along the edge of the Pacific Ocean. On October 28, the Spa will host a special full moon yoga session under the moonlit sky. All levels are welcome to participate, and a $20 charitable donation will support Cancer Support Community South Bay.
Terranea also offers archery activities, where for every session booked in October, $5 will be donated to breast cancer support and research. Advanced reservations are required, and the resort’s partner, Palos Verdes Archery Lessons, will match the donation.
On Saturday, October 28, guests can enjoy a special edition of Dueling Pianos in the Lobby Bar. Throughout the evening, signature cocktails and gourmet bites will be available. Additionally, there will be a silent auction featuring items donated in support of Cancer Support Community South Bay and Play for P.I.N.K.
By participating in these pink-themed activities, guests at Terranea Resort not only have the opportunity to support a worthy cause but also enjoy creative cocktails, culinary fare, and wellness activities inspired by the beautiful nature surrounding the resort.
