On The Status Life, classic Ferraris are always in abundance. However, we may have just stumbled upon a new favorite – the Ferrari 400 Superamerica Aerodinamico Series II. Currently available for sale through luxury car specialists, Schaltkulisse, this car is simply magnificent.
The Ferrari 400 Superamerica Aerodinamico Series II is the last of its kind, with only 18 Long Wheelbase (LWB) models ever produced and just 14 of them featuring covered headlights. This stunning vehicle was originally manufactured in 1964 and boasted a classy color combination of Grigio Argento over Nero VM 8500 Connolly, with red carpets. Its immaculate condition guarantees it will be the centerpiece of any car collector’s lineup. It was initially sold to FIN-EUR Finanziaria Commerciale Europea S.p.A., a company based in Rome, Italy.
This particular Ferrari Superamerica, available through Schaltkulisse, retains its original engine and gearbox, ensuring it has matching numbers. Over the course of five decades, it has been exceptionally well-maintained by its owner, Ralli Dimitrius. Despite already being in excellent condition, Schaltkulisse decided to further enhance this remarkable vehicle’s quality, a standard they maintain for all their cars for sale. The 400 Superamerica spent several months with Auto Toni in Maranello, where it underwent mechanical and cosmetic updates, resulting in its striking Rosso Cina shade.
Following its appearance at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and obtaining the Ferrari Classiche Certification, this Superamerica is now seeking new owners who can appreciate its unique and eye-catching history. Its well-documented history includes numerous pictures of restoration works conducted in the US, as well as invoices for recent works completed at Toni Auto in Maranello.
